Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at Don Hills for NY Fashion Week

I was in Brooklyn on Sept 9th 2010 and texted my friend Will about where to go that night, to which he replied, "BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB is playin at Don Hills, get ready, be there by midnight, they go on at 1am sharp, dont rush but hurry." I almost had kittens! It was my second night in NYC, the night before I saw Hank III, and now I was about to see BRMC!!!!!! Holy fuck I was excited. Will could only get me on the door so I went alone. Caught the F train to Greenwich Village and walked to the club. The line-up outside was Crazy! I went straight up to the bouncer whom Will told to look out for an Aussie photographer by herself. 

I wormed my way up the front of the stage. It was so fricken packed and hot inside, a sweat box to say the least. BRMC played an absolute aaaaaamaaazing show. The lighting was so fucken incredible as well. I wish I had my Markii camera like all the other photographer fuckers taking up the first row. I wriggled my way closer with my G10 and found myself pretty comfortable with bass player, Robert right in front of me!

Mid way through the show the crowd backed off quite a bit. I remember thinking why would you leave this show!? Found out they all went to Chanel's Fashion Week party......ahhhhhhh........New York during Fashion Week is my friend.

B.L.O.R.R in a Benz

I took these pics last Sept when I was in Morristown NJ with Jared, Chris and Adam. Our days hanging out were coming to an end, I was going to Paris in a few days and the boys were driving back to Florida..........we decided to take Chris' Grandma's Benz out for a spin around the block for some photos and videos. Man did we get stared at! So funny, the neighbors wouldve thought we were nuts. Good times boys, great great times.

I am super amped to be now a "friend" of Nixon. As you may have read earlier on, I went to Nixon's Art Mosh in NYC and fell in love with what the brand is doing for the arts........who would've thought a meer 3 mths later my work now stands alone in their first ever worldwide retail store in Bondi Junction. Hence the "amp-ness", also my book about my South Africa travels titled "You Should Get Away More Often" is also selling instore right this second, right now for Nixon now!

just horsein' round with BLORR......ya know

Jared recorded this on my G10 back in September in Florida.......It was super humid as we began shooting. The rain came in thick and heavy just as we walk away at the end there....I think we only shot for 10-15 minutes seriously. Absolutely saturated, Chris, Adam, Jared and myself stopped into Adam and Stephanie's parents house to dry off before our 24 hour drive up to NYC.

I'd do it all again in a heartbeat!

Smashbox Studios LA Photo Comp

Hiiiiiiiiiii so my photos got into the top 50 out of 700 entrants into this years "Face Off 2010" portrait competition held by Smashbox Studios in LA!!! I'm stoked to get this far but oh how I wish I could've attended the Opening night last Thurs 9th!

The Chemical Brothers at Hollywood Bowl. Aug 29 '10

I was so so lucky to see The Chemical Brothers at The Bowl with Chris, Cassie and Rory. We had the best seats ever, front row centre.......it was a mighty challenge to shoot and dance at the same time!
The guys went off! Such an amazing light show, I was in absolute photo heaven also rather surprised I didnt get told to stop shooting! Stoked.
