I haven't seen such an intensely graphic, non stop edge of my seat, watchin with one eye open film with a kick ass soundtrack such as White Lightnin'.
I was invited to screen it a few weeks back through VICE mag. My friends and I sat waiting for the movie to start all not knowing what the heck we were about to see......."some southern tap dancer who gets into drugs or something...?" yeah it was a little more then all that!
Here's what I read after I saw it-
"Deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia, where every man owns a gun and a moonshine still, abides living legend Jesco White, "the dancing outlaw". As a boy Jesco was in and out of reform school and the insane asylum. To keep him out of trouble, his daddy D-Ray taught him the art of mountain dancing, a frenzied version of tap dancing to wild country banjo music. After his father's death, crazy Jesco dons his father's tap shoes and takes his show on the road." Written by Warsaw Film Festival

Aaron Rose @ Monster Children
I must thank Kieran at M.C for pushing me to shoot the forever impressive Mr Aaron Rose...(I was a little nervous ya see)
He was here on a tour for his show "Simulacrum" @ M.C Gallery back in March this year.
The same week as his opening, Aaron did a showing of old VHS shorts by The Beautiful Losers crew at Chauvel Cinema in Paddington. It was cool to see all the unedited footage on raw material.
I was stoked to meet Aaron for the 1st time 2 years back. He gave me some great advice on turning my photos into a book- now I'm obsessed with making books + zines etc.
When I shot him this time 'round I gave him my Sth Africa book + Tokyo Zine- he was stoked!
Thanks Aaron.......
aaaaannnnnnd thanks Brock @ RVCA Australia for posting the shots!
