Haleiwa Xmas Pageant + Welzie Art

The Friday before Xmas last year I went to a Xmas gathering at Noelani's Yoga studio with Daniela and Donna, much to my surprise it was also the Haleiwa town's Xmas Pageant!

I had such a great night meeting new friends, eating amazing local vegetarian food, drinking corked red wine and taking pics.

I remember it being a really hot, humid night and when Noelani's party finished, Donna and her mates drove us to Waialua
for an Art party. Turned out to be Welzie and Carl from Two Crows Surfboards shaping bay and warehouse! I met those guys in Japan at Greenroom Festival 2012 where we killed it at karaoke, so we were stoked to randomly see each other.

This night was just another incredible night on the North Shore....here's some pics ---->

1 Month on the North Shore pt.4- Haleiwa Dreaming

Haleiwa is a beautiful little beach town that begins the North Shore. Cute little shops, coffee places (Coffee Gallery is the tits), and amazing organic cafes like Beet Box behind Celestial Foods. One rainy Sunday morning after a large night out, Daniela, Donna, Alice and I drove to Haleiwa town for Mimosa's, eggs and coffee. Donna spotted Kelly Slater in Celestial shopping his essentials, so naturally we waited for him outside- that was some awkward funny shit getting that pic, well worth it, thank you Kelly.

On my second last day on the North Shore, Rusty and I hitched a ride on the back of a truck into Haleiwa then walked the town to visit Big Wave Surfer and legend Ben Wilkinson at his house.
