California....I..I..Love you

Driving, partying, photographing, swimming, sunbaking, shopping, eating, meeting new friends in Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego was tremendous.

I didn't want to leave.....as I'm now in Florida (enjoying it thoroughly here too, don't get me wrong) but there's something in the air over on the west coast.........a buzz I long to feel again.......lucky I return in October yeeeew!

White Lightnin' trailer

I haven't seen such an intensely graphic, non stop edge of my seat, watchin with one eye open film with a kick ass soundtrack such as White Lightnin'.

I was invited to screen it a few weeks back through VICE mag. My friends and I sat waiting for the movie to start all not knowing what the heck we were about to see......."some southern tap dancer who gets into drugs or something...?" yeah it was a little more then all that!

Here's what I read after I saw it-

"Deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia, where every man owns a gun and a moonshine still, abides living legend Jesco White, "the dancing outlaw". As a boy Jesco was in and out of reform school and the insane asylum. To keep him out of trouble, his daddy D-Ray taught him the art of mountain dancing, a frenzied version of tap dancing to wild country banjo music. After his father's death, crazy Jesco dons his father's tap shoes and takes his show on the road." Written by Warsaw Film Festival
